Prawnography is the latest pop up food concept from London Mess.
Straight from the successes of Fry hard, the one week deep fried food pop up that was hosted by Creative food partnership ‘Messhead’ London Mess and Miss Cakehead at Boxpark over Easter.
London Mess’ Prawnographer in chief, Jim Thomlinson has been developing the idea for Prawnography for a number of years, and is very excited to announce that a home for this creation is coming to life in one of the coolest spots imaginable in the whole of London.
The Old street roundabout is being transformed into a food haven.
Some may have already heard that Burger Bear AKA Tom Reaney will be setting up a new base on the roundabout, in the form of shipping containers that are being converted into a ‘Disco Diner’.
Also to feature on the roundabout is a state of the art whisky bar, which will be serving a wide range of Malts from Scotland and further a field. As well as the whisky, ‘Macintyre’ will be serving breakfast muffins and world-class coffee.
The ethos of Prawnography is simple, it’s a case of bringing the seaside to the city, and ever changing menus will highlight the abundance of variety available from the British coast.
A traditional fisherman’s hut is the official outpost for the Prawnographer to get to work providing the city with exceptionally tasty and intriguing modern twists on traditional seaside delicacies.
With the focus being vastly over balanced in the direction of the humble prawn.
Its about time this beautiful crustacean got its rightful championing and Prawnography aim to achieve this.
Expect to find a beach at dusk atmosphere in the centre of the city this summer, with a rustic beach hut, fire pits and the smell and flavour of stunning seafood and shellfish.
