Woo hoo Mutate Britain is kicking off – although Lyle e-mailed me at the week-end (he sent me something awesome I will share later), and I am not sure exactly when Lrry is turning up. Here are two films I made at the 2008 Mutate Britain;
1) Gile Walker’s Pole Dancing Robots (love, love, love, them)
2) A general review of the show
Found another rich seam of images from the Mutate Britain fire show, which spilled out onto Curtain Road. Seemed rude not to share – being London drivers were beeping their horns and trying to overtake Lrry the fire breathing vehicle! From what I also remember this was followed by a spectacularly messy slumber rave although my memories of this become a lot more vague…
Much like my meet Lrry post – I have just come accross this brilliant photographs of Giles Walker’s pole dancing robots and it seemed rude not to share.
Lrry (pron: Larry) is a cloven-hooved, two-legged, half-donkey, half-raptor-type-reptile. The genius behind this machine is Lyle Rowell (e-mail him here) – you can check out more of this work over on his website.
I was just looking at some stuff for my friend Sam Haggarty who makes simply the best sculptures, and I came across this set of ‘Larry Images’ I just had to share. Like Sam, Lrry (& his creater Lyle Rowell) are part of the Mutoid Waste Company who are currently gearing up for Mutate Britain 2. Bring it on!
