Zoltar, who you may well remember from his small yet important role in Big, has arrived at Coney Island! At least, some sort of distant relative of his has who is currently reported to be living under the Wonder Wheel beside Grandma’s Predictions, and that “they are already close friends!”
In the movie the Zoltar scene (in which Josh fatefully tells the machine he wants to be an adult) was shot at nearby Rye Playland, but a pepsi machine now stands at that the spot…
If you go and visit him be careful what you wish for peeps – I know who I am going to wish for!

It’s now been 13 eyars since Biggie Smalls was gunned down and murdered – and the #ripbig hashtag is starting to rein supreme on Twitter. Love or hate (me) his music you can’t argue the cultural significance of it.
Here is a gallery of B.I.G street art – another way people have been paying respects innit.
Please can someone clarify – is a big cupcake just a cake?..
Unless you live in a cave then you’ll be pretty aware of the awesome Innocent ‘Big Knit‘ idea – it gets people to knit winter hats for Innocent smoothie bottles, raising funds for Age Concern. It has been going a fair few years now – but I must admit I love it when the ‘Innocent hat smoothie’ starts again each year!
The sale of each bottle – with a lid being kept tasty and warm by a mini knitted hat – makes the charity 35p. And as you can see from below these are no simply knitted hats – they are awesome mini parcels of knitted creativity!
The last thing you would want to do with The Big Fat Duck Cookbook is let is anywhere near the kitchen – this book is far too good for that and should most certainly be ‘saved for best’ as people over the age of 50 tend to say. Photographer Dominic Davies brings the genius of chef Heston Blumenthal to life through some of the most amazing food photography I have ever seen.
