Thanks to @FBLTucker for tweeting this… Naturally with my company called Stay Puft I love this!
I am more excited about this than I thought I would be but the video is brilliantly made (starts wondering if I can get the v cakes through);
Heston Blumenthal, Richard E Grant and Tracey Emin (love them all) are searching for the best in British talent, to deliver a series of career defining opportunities as part of British Airways’ commitment to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as official airline partner.
With all the titting about due to snow of late it’s clear that London needs some True Grit on many levels, including the obvious play on words. It is unknown if that is the inspiration for this batch of John Wayne paste ups which have appeared over London, along with the words “what would JW do” on the gun. Maybe a John Wayne hardcore fan is just on a mission to remind us of the masterful original True Grit ahead of the remake out soon… (more images here)
Anyway there is a Tron Pop Up Shop this November in Los Angeles which is looking amazing and even includes a couture line that offers apparel, jewelry, shoes and even a couple of handbags. They brought in top designers to collaborate on the project so expect to pay couture prices. For example, the shoe shown above is named Quorra after the female lead in the movie and will retail for $795. There’s about 90 pieces in all and you can check the entire collection out here – if nothing if not ‘varied’ with some more examples below! I have to admit to liking the motorcycle suits – very fetishy but some was sent from the land of tacky I fear! (source)
Tim Burton’s films scare the life out of me (I am a big baby), so therefore it follows I don’t find the music of Danny Elfman particularly soothing either. But if unlike me you like listening to it, and the memories it evokes, you should get your paws on the 25th Anniversary Music Box. A limited edition collector’s item filled with 16 CDs of the movie scores. The extras are also the same old same old… there is a ton of unreleased music, a skeleton key flash drive, a hardcover book and a bonus DVD… (source)
