Now that is an entrance – plus I think the last costume is one of my all time favourites!
A piece of iconic pop art history for £10,000 or a very expensive second hand jumper you decide – personally if I had the money I would be all over this like a nasty rash. The other issue is I think fear know that I’m about to become fairly addicted to the Vintage Seekers site I found this on (via @maiden_uk).
Made of the finest cashmere, this exquisite black poloneck jumper was owned and worn by the artist Andy Warhol.
There are numerous well documented photographs showing Warhol wearing the jumper whilst producing many of his famous artworks.
The jumper was manufactured by a company called Halston.
Halston designs were also worn by Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minnelli, Anjelica Huston and many other glamorous Hollywood stars.
Warhol continues to set record prices at art auctions. His artwork ’200 one dollar bills’ sold in November 2009 for $43.8m.
However personal memorabilia relating to Warhol is increasingly hard to find.
This black poloneck can be considered a truly iconic piece of art history.

Now as a final happy 20th birthday blog post to Twin Peaks there is – OF COURSE – a rich seam of TP ‘stuff’ over on Etsy – and even a dedicated store – The Great Northern. Here is a quick review:

This has to be the best collection of images ever, and a great piece of social history documentation. People submit images of themselves – from 1977-1985 – with Star Wars; this being a costume, a toy, their childhood drawings or even curtains. Here are some of the best. Hot tip is that the backgrounds are as interested as the photographs.

I am first to admit that my blog is random but the tumblr site Radioactive Lingerie makes mine look rather dull indeed – to be honest I have not totally figured what’s the site’s mission statement yet but I know I like it (via UO blog).
Another FRIDAY CLASSIC (via Nerdcore) – clearly the song & dance routines in the new Clinic video are based very heavily on this! OK so that is bullshit but these people are RAD!
Not quite the lofty heights of Xanadu but I’ll settle for Maneater as top Friday morning cheese laden tune!
