Animals as lipstick

2 Mar

Really nice & original idea of how to play with your kids on a rainy afternoon – it’s also a good way of managing the little ones expectations of being allowed to ‘play’ with make up as it keeps it on a child’s level (of course it is also just good fun for adults too). These glorious animal lips are from artist Viridis Somino so head to her site for more information. Visit our Facebook page (link top right) to see more images from this set.

The last one shows of the “wrinkles” in the model’s lips so well, I could have gotten turned on if I kept looking… hmm.. :P

[...] By Gabriel Bell Our love for nail art is no secret, but we may have just found a competing obsession—lip art. Sure it might be a little bit more visible and a whole lot more smearable, but if we can train ourselves to turn our lips into bees, lizards, crabs, hippos, foxes, and…well, would you look at that, Pikachus, like photographer contributor Paige Thompson’s, we’d be spending a whole lot more time by a mirror. Thompson seemed to have loaded up the images a few years back and then stopped her “Animal-ipstick Series”—heaven knows why—it looks like we’re going to have to call on you, our talented readers, to pucker up, get out your make up kits and craft us some more kitties, lions, lambs, and other beasties for our viewing pleasure. Oh, and make some bears too. Yeah. Bears. (Photo and Viridis-Somnio via CakeHead) [...]
