At times it’s really hard to explain what I do for a job as creative director of Idea Generation; and also the randomness I get to do with my own projects. I am not sure if this 2010 highlights film will help much for clarification but you will get to listen to a classic top disco tune – it’s just a summary of some of my favorite projects from 2010.

If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know the background to the whole snorting nutmeg debacle (not that I have). Anyway I just had to post this which has really made me laugh (source):
Dubner got egg on his face earlier this summer when he called out The Economistfor a supposed typo that turned out not to beone.
Sometimes, of course, consequential mistakes do make it through, and a simple correction isn’t always the answer.
Tens of thousands of copies of a Swedish food magazine have been recalled this week after an error in an apple cake recipe sent four of its readers to the hospital withnutmeg poisoning.
The recipe should have called for two pinches of nutmeg. Instead, the magazine went to press telling chefs to use 20 whole nutmeg nuts. That was enough nutmeg for at least four adults to seek medical help for headaches and dizziness.
In large doses, nutmeg is a mild hallucinogen.

With all the titting about due to snow of late it’s clear that London needs some True Grit on many levels, including the obvious play on words. It is unknown if that is the inspiration for this batch of John Wayne paste ups which have appeared over London, along with the words “what would JW do” on the gun. Maybe a John Wayne hardcore fan is just on a mission to remind us of the masterful original True Grit ahead of the remake out soon… (more images here)

Awesome post over at Life Lounge:
Monika Tichacek has literally sewn together two of pop-culture’s biggest trends – fantasy horror creatures and reality dancing programs – and has created a monster. Her morbidly beautiful photographs are simultaneously entrancing and repulsive. Zombies tango dancing, kissing corpses, bejewlled rotting carcasses… We wince, we want to look away, but we can’t.

Almost on a par with the coke taking Extras sketch (it’s only a bit of whiz to blow the cobwebs away)…
