Jon Snow’s ‘Thing’

5 Oct

I am currently working on a really exciting project for the Wellcome Collection called ‘Things’ – it’s basically a  call to update Henry Wellcome’s curious collection with members of the public invited to donate objects no bigger than their head. In support of this I am in the midst of producing and directing a series of videos with known commentators talking about their personal contribution to the show. Here’s Jon Snow (who I wish was my Dad), and Jo Brand (who I have a real girl crush on, she was just awesome):

If you want to take part in the show after reading what you have to do (below) then head here:

A call to update Henry Wellcome’s curious collection. Please give us a ‘thing’ no bigger than your head.

  • Bring us a thing during our great bring-a-thing-athon
  • Bring this, bring that, bring the other, just nothing bigger than your head
  • Lend it, gift it, or if you can’t bear to part with it, upload a photo of it
  • Snooping is positively encouraged, so tell your friends about Things. No one should miss this feast for the voyeur!

In exchange for your thing you will be invited to the private view on Tuesday 19 October, 19.00-21.30.

Bring us an object between 12-19 October (except Monday 18 October)
Collect your object between 6pm on 21 October and 6pm on 23 October
Come and see everyone else’s objects any time between 12-22 October (except Monday 18 October)

THIS NEW EXHIBITION WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT YOU!
