I am happy to declare this is the best cake I have ever seen!

This life-size replica of a Mies van der Rohe Barcelona couch, in chocolate cake form, was shown at the Haunch of Venison (NYC) food art event. Essentially a cake tasting hosted by Kreemart and American Patrons of the Tate (London).
In case your nor familiar with them, Kreemart is an organization that lets artists explore desserts as a medium (yeah brilliant idea). You can read the full review here.

This event reminds me very much of Sweet Nothings at the Pump House gallery in London a few years back:
A two-week long interactive project at the Pump House Gallery, London (24 August to 4 September 2005). Visitors were invited to think of a specific occasion for a cake and make it. 120 cakes were assembled in a final display which mapped out the social history of the craft.
