Confession time – I bought some of the new Typhoon / Pantone kitchen range today from Heal’s and now fear I will be judged as a Dajve Bikinus design type. I just think they are really well designed – oh yes pepper grinders, chopping boards, oven gloves and ‘friends’ are now available as well as the mugs. Good times.

wow. those take art school geek chic to a whole new level . . . in a good way. I totally want a mug.

I’m not too sure about the pepper grinders, it seems the text for ‘Pantone … ‘ is too big in ratio to the product. A bit too much in your face.

I am respraying my triumph herald red and am tempted to throw in a bit of pantone action there – maybe a slight reference somewhere…

I can’t be the only person who thinks that the pantone thingy is a bit tacky. I know that loads of people are now graphic designers, but it is all a bit self congratulatory to me. These will be seen in charity shops in ten years time and laughed at.

yes. the font is TOO big.

  6. [...] I’m tied together to a striking designer, who likes to provoke me about my love of Pantone. I’m regularly vagrant him to move me his out of date sets, and he is regularly pleasantly reminding me which I’m not a engineer perplexing to work out the sum of a imitation run. “The Pantone swatches have been a tool, not a toy.” I think which the brand new Pantone kitchen line is the undiluted approach for me to put up with my middle color junkie.
