Controversial Tattoos (18) – NOT SFW

WARNING: these are fairly extreme in context to my normal content but I do feel they are valid for discussion. If you are easily offended then please DON’T read on and then complain about my morality (thanks Andrew).

These are x rated tattoos posted for adult discussion over their content / social acceptability. Read the statement from Woody for more clarification on the reasoning behind these designs, and his decision over THE Princess Diana Tattoo. And yes I chose not to post the Michael Jackson p***o c**t design seen over on Woody’s site. Both Bizarre and I clearly took the call on that one!

“People thought Diana was untouchable,” Woody explains. “But I saw her as a human being in a car, driving around Paris with a bunch of blokes, pissed up, and who wrapped herself round a lamp post. Lots of people do that and they’re never sanctified the way she was! On the other hand, you get people who’ve been demonised such as Gary Glitter. I’ve drawn him because he’s so emotive.”

This is it – I am sure that tattoos designed to get a reaction can not get much more extreme than this (in fact update someone has just questioned my morality in posting these) Bizarre have pushed their limits with this article – when they say something is bad you know it is BAAAAAAAAAAAD. This month they have an interview with Woody, the world’s most controversial tattoo artist. If you want Princess Diana sucking a penis inked on your shin then he is your man. Rather brilliantly Woody is based in High Wycombe in the UK – the last place in the World you would have imagined.

The shock factor aside the quality of the art in these tattoos mean they just about scrape through the acceptability factor – you can’t knock the high skills level even if it is a tattoo of a masturbating Alice In Wonderland.
