I have touched on these images before, but just had to post this larger collection I came across.

As a moral boosting exercise  English photographer Arthur S Mole, and American colleague John D Thomas, were commissioned to make these pieces. The activity occurring during the peace between WW1 and WW11 using soldiers.

    There is two photos in the Martin Parr Exhibition “Parrworld”
    And they are really amazing in “real” :)

    These are incredible. To think people used to come together, now marketers photoshop people in stands to make it look like more people are there!

    Correction: Arthur wasn’t commissioned to take the photos. They were a product of his own inspiration and patriotism.

    Also, four of the photos you posted are not Arthur Mole’s.

    He did create some fantastic “art”!
