Voodoo Doughnut is like a ferel Krispy Kreme. Open all night long, they will also teach you Swahili and marry you for $175 (the price includes doughnuts & coffee for 10).
The Voodoo Gods of Voodoo Doughnut also encourage local musicians in the shop and even have its own documentary short – Gimme Doughnut.
Everything about this nonconformist doughnut shop rocks as does the fact that it mixes what is seen as a “different religion” with someone so very US mainstream – doughnuts.
The doughnuts are about the size of your head and they certainly don’t stick to traditional flavours with their menu including a unique bacon and doughnut combination. Historically they did admit defeat with the jaggermeister doughnut which “was a good idea but tasted like crap.”
Here is their current menu;

This is so coooool, brilliant and amazing – surreal Japanese monster movies mixed with wrestling, in a ringed arena? It is not possible for this not to ROCK!
Kaiju Big Battel is a live-action tournament-style performance event, with ‘monsters’ such as Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder and Uchu Chu the Space Bug duke it out on a paper-maché landscape.
The hybrid of American pro-wrestling rules as it takes out the red neck aspects of the traditional sport and adds geeky weirdness and charm from of Japanese monster movies. Unsurprisingly it has a MASSIVE cult following.

You have also simply got to check out the video – a wrestler called chicken noodle soup doing a victory dance!!!

Love hotels are ‘themed establishments’ were people go to have sex – really really remarkable. One room even has a merry-go-round in it!
You can pay by the hour for a “rest” and rather brilliantly they have the BEST names for Hotels ever like Hotel Jam or Gang Snowman. You would be hard pushed to find more creatively designed bedrooms.
