Celebrities as potatoes
December 18, 2009 · Leave a Comment
The Triumph of Potatoes will define how the humble potato has not only survived into the new century in the face of the barrage of tastes from other root vegetables in drag, but it will demonstrate how potatoes have absorbed celebrity imagery, reshaped it in its own central domain, and touched us profoundly.
You have to wonder sometimes… …here is my pick of the spuds. It was all in a good cause too as The Starchy Gallery is a competition in aid of charity to dress or decorate a potato to resemble a celebrity of your choice.

Santa Whales
December 17, 2009 · 3 Comments
As Greenpeace said:
“it is unfortunate” most Japanese people only got to see whales in novelty type contexts”
What is wrong with all the visitors to the Japanese aquarium who clapped and cheered at the sight of beluga whales being dressed up as Santa. Grrrrrrrrrrrr stuff like this really pisses me off – for a start they should be in the ocean. It is interesting the Japanese appear to have no interest in dressing up the humpbacked whales they so happily hunt and kill with machine gun fire in the aid of “scientific research”.

Agency Republic show Publicis how it’s done!
December 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment
With Publicis making **** of themselves with THAT video there has been a lot of debate if such a thing is ever a good idea… …I say debate more mocking of awful video content by everyone who does not work for them. Well here is proof that ‘Christmassy’ films can work, and work BRILLIANTLY, from Agency Republic (click on name to view).
Putting all of their eggs in one basket, this is also promoting an app which will help you find your way home at night?? Lots of showing off too with embedding links in the film (so you can download lyrcis) yadda yadda yadda…
Good isn’t it? You can even download from iTunes.
(and yes any excuse to post the real life South Park images)
