Something New is something awesome – it’s a project that encourages people to make art (bring it oooooooon). At the risk of not doing Something New justice (by rewriting it badly) here is their post about a Chicago based event on the 11th November:
MAKE ART
The event is taking place in Chicago on 11th November, 2009
This means that you can organize your art piece within the area of Chicago and 24 hours between 10th and 12th november, 2009.
Let us know what, where and when you execute your art piece and we will announce it and hopefully someone will come and enjoy it.
Everybody and everything is welcome.
Remember to email us your idea (name, contacts, art piece description, location, name and time).
There is no space for the show, this is part of your project, you have to solve it.
If you will not be in Chicago then think of a way to organize it on distance, if you need help let us know, we will try to find someone to help you out locally.

These Mafia graves are remarkable – inspired by the Sun and found thanks to Google image search and a few key words!

Most commonly found in the Russian mobster capital of Ekaterinburg, the deceased are shown in clothes such as Hawaiian shirts and leather jackets with inscriptions referring to those special things which made them stand out such as “expert in the use of knives”.

Bloody hell this makes the Sea Scouts bonfire effort look very poor indeed – I can only assume Spiderman has something to do with it being Halloween. So whilst my friends and I were arsing about in strip clubs with pink glittery plastic cars on the other side of the world…
A gas pipeline 3 feet (1 meter) in diameter exploded under the ground in Moscow last Saturday. The flame was two hundred meters (600 ft) tall and was seen from almost every location across the city.
