I am off out to chase some boys, but just had to share my t-shirt of choice for tonight…
Oh yeah imagine all the Dungeon & Dragon types who will want me in this beast.

I find the concept of Miss High Times ridiculous but great. It is not complicated it consists of women posing, in mainly a ‘readers wives’ way, with weed. How can it not be a winner?

These fungi are brilliant, and about as strange a ‘plant’ you would ever expect to see. Via Scienceray.
Bleeding Tooth Fungus

Bleeding tooth is an inedible salmon pink fungus – often found under conifers. The spongy body exudes droplets of red fluid which contains a mushroom pigment called atromentin which has anticoagulant properties.
Stinkhorn Mushroom

Stop sniggering and grow up…
Coral Tooth Fungus

This fungus is often found in very old and mature forests, only some varieties of this species are edible, but only when the plant is young and spongy – as it gets older, the flesh turns woody and fibrous – but reports are that the fungus has strong laxative effects

Scary but fascinating are just two worlds I could use to describe this series of work from Hirotoshi Ito. But a warning – it really does start to hurt your head if you look at these, and think about how they are made, for too long.

Am extact from the artists bio as seen on the Keiko Gallery site.
After graduating from the distinguished Tokyo National University of Fine Arts, Mr. Ito was destined to take over his father’s masonry business in his hometown of Matsumoto City in Nagano Prefecture. He works out of his studio at home, creating his sculptures, while attending his family business.
Hirotoshi Ito continues to find new and original ways to create sculptures that people would touch and feel the unexpected softness and the warmth of them. He would be honored if his work would add laughs and smiles to people who come in contact with them.

I LOVE THIS!!! This new Evian advert is brilliant, and an example of advertising at it’s very best. Great retro tunes and some very scary/cute babies who you can even follow on Facebook. The internet ‘must be full’ as this film has only had 4,000 views so far. How has this happened? I predict at least 100,000 views by lunch time tomorrow.
Here is also the making of film – if my baby was in this advert it would totally freak me out. These parents are hardcore…

Pete Fowler, monster maker, has finally finished his new web page. I heart it – his work rocks my world. The image of Mr Fowler below is from Allison Leach. She put the artists behind the most desired adult toys (I said adult not sex) in front of the camera to form part of her Toy Tokyo exhibition.
Indulge in Monsterism here.
